The implementation of a cathodic protection installation starts with the treatment of the concrete cover to avoid electric discontinuities (delamination of concrete, etc.) and short-circuits. Then, the anodes are installed, and after having checked the electric circuit, they are connected.

 

The electric current, increased by stages when it is turned on, is adjusted after a few months, to ensure that the protection criterion is satisfied.
